Girls Day Out With Dad
On this particular cool and clear Saturday morning, Rachel's girls had to spend the morning with their dad.Katie and Anna, Before Getting Their MakeoverSo I had the opportunity to do something fun and different with Katie and Anna.That's when I noticed that our little neighborhood newspaper had a story that one of the local beauty schools was holding an open house where girls could get free hair, nails, and makeup. Christmas Plays are Everywhere
With as many kids in school programs as we have, it seemed like there was at least two or three plays, choir concerts, or activites to do every week of the Christmas season. The picture above shows Emily in her role in the Christmas play as the narrator of the scene from "The Christmas Story" where the kids do their double-dog dare and tongue on the light pole scene. I'm sorry for the blurry picture, but I forgot how huge the new auditorium is and that I'd have to zoom half a mile to get fairly close up on Emily. Back to School
Sanity has returned to Casa De Kline now that all the kids are headed back into the classroom. Of course, they ain't too excited about it. But it gives me and Rachel time to be productive around the house and an opportunity for moments of quiet. It was a rather emotional morning in some ways, since it was Ava's first day of kindergarten. I wasn't sure who would break down first, mom or daughter.
